FINN car subscriptions come with several terms and options to select but no specific pet policies. Indeed, you don’t have to pay extra to add your pet to the subscription with this rental car alternative. However, like many car rental companies below, FINN charges subscribers for any extra wear-and-tear present on or within the vehicle, including damage. In most cases, a simple interior detail from a dealership or third-party detailing company removes the need for additional costs due to special cleaning. 

Hertz

According to Hertz’s website, this rental car company asks that you add your pet to your reservation at least 24 hours before picking up your rental car. There’s no additional charge to add your pet if they are housebroken. However, you will pay for any damage or cleaning required at Hertz’s discretion. 

Alamo

Alamo is a pet-friendly car rental company that allows crated pets to accompany their owners in the rental car. Service animals need not be crated. This rental company asks that you return the car free from pet or dog hair and in clean condition. 

Dollar

The best time to rent a car with Dollar if you have a pet is anytime. Dollar’s pet rental policies state that pets are allowed without an upfront fee, with no advanced notice required. However, renters are subject to a $50 to $250 cleaning fee if the car is not returned in clean condition. This cleanliness policy applies even without pets present. 

Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Alamo and Enterprise share pet policies when it comes to rentals. Enterprise doesn’t charge extra for driving with your dog in a rental car, and service animals need not be crated. However, you are held liable for damage, pet fur, or other additional wear-and-tear charges that apply. 

Budget

While you can’t rent a car for someone else, you can rent one your pet can ride in with Budget Rent a Car. Housebroken pets are allowed in Budget rental cars. National Car Rental
