Before the day of your return, we strongly recommend going through our return checklist and properly preparing your vehicle. This proactive step will greatly improve your chances of avoiding any unexpected results during the condition assessment. The main things to consider are:

✓ The car is completely cleaned inside and out.
✓ All previous damage has been reported to FINN.
✓ The original equipment of the car is maintained.

3 | Return your vehicle

On the day of your return our logistics partner will pick up your vehicle from desired location and document the condition of the vehicle by taking photos and notes. This will ensure that any possible damage incurred on the return trip is not falsely attributed to you.

Our transporter will then bring the vehicle back to one of our compounds and share with you a summarized version of the return protocol.

4 | Receive your assessment

Lastly, your vehicle will be assessed by one of our accredited third-party appraisal partners. As part of the assessment, the appraisal partner will evaluate the vehicle’s condition against the industry standard excess wear and tear policy. This assessment will primarily focus on the condition of glass parts, bodywork (including bumpers & plastic parts), tires & wheel rims, and interior.

In addition to our partners' status report, the final condition assessment will encompass any charges related to mileage overages, vehicle collection, as well as outstanding traffic violations. You can expect to receive this comprehensive condition statement within 7-10 business days after your return.
