Anna & Henny from FINN

Why did you choose to stay?

Henny:

What made me want to stay at FINN was a mix of the people, the culture, and the level of ownership you get early on. From day one, the office vibe was open, positive, and energetic. I worked with ambitious, supportive, and down-to-earth colleagues who made it easy to feel like part of the team, not “just an intern.”

What really stood out was how clearly expectations were communicated and how much freedom I had to shape my work. Sales at FINN is a transparent numbers game - once you understand that, take responsibility, and consistently show initiative, opportunities open up very quickly. During my transition from intern to full-time, I felt trusted, encouraged to think independently, and supported to step outside my comfort zone. That combination made staying at FINN feel like the natural next step.

Anna:

I chose to stay at FINN because I felt like a valued team member from day one, rather than "just an intern." During my internship, I was given meaningful responsibilities that grew with my experience, allowing the transition to a full-time role to feel like a natural evolution. What supported my growth most was the open feedback culture and the driven environment; being surrounded by ambitious people pushed me to give my best, while transparent communication ensured I could take real ownership of my work.

How has your impact evolved?

Henny:

My journey at FINN started as an SDR intern and quickly evolved when I had the opportunity to join the Enterprise Sales team during my internship, which I then continued full-time. With each step, my responsibilities and impact grew significantly. I moved from making cold calls, to leading customer meetings, to negotiating deals with large corporate clients, and eventually working on tenders, framework agreements, and strategic enterprise topics.

Beyond pure sales execution, I started contributing to bigger-picture initiatives - creating pitch decks, building reference customer cases, and sharing strategic insights from customer conversations with the Business Development and Product teams - all aimed at establishing FINN as the natural choice for large corporate fleets. Moments where I realized that my input was shaping internal decisions and customer strategies made me especially proud and showed me how much I had grown in a relatively short time.

Anna:

Looking back at my journey from intern to full-time at FINN, my responsibilities and impact evolved steadily. I began by supporting the sales pipeline, and as trust grew, so did my scope of ownership. A key milestone in my development was taking on responsibility for people by onboarding and supporting new interns - a step that expanded my impact beyond my individual tasks.

From a sales perspective, I moved from lead generation as an SDR to managing deals deeper into the funnel, allowing me to understand the business more holistically. The moment I felt most proud was receiving my full-time offer; it was a powerful validation of my growth and a signal that my contributions were truly valued in a team where I feel both trusted and appreciated.

What is your advice for future FINNterns?

Henny:

Take ownership early and don’t wait to be asked. Bring in your ideas, go the extra mile, and actively look for ways to create impact beyond your core tasks. At the same time, invest in personal relationships with your colleagues - FINN is a place where collaboration truly matters.

If you’re ambitious, proactive, and willing to consistently put in the effort, FINN gives you the platform to grow fast and shape your own path.

Anna:

My main advice for future FINNterns aiming for a full-time role is to be proactive and never hesitate to speak up. Curiosity is seen as a strength here, so ask questions - everyone is genuinely eager to share their knowledge. Beyond the work itself, focus on building relationships across the entire company; a simple coffee chat is an invaluable way to gain new perspectives and increase your visibility.

Most importantly, be bold. Take ownership of your tasks and communicate your ambitions openly. If you are clear about where you want to grow, you will find immense support and plenty of opportunities to turn your goals into reality.
