Marlon Bolduan

Marlon has been part of FINN since July 2025, working as an Associate Fleet Coordinator in the Active Fleet Team, the group responsible for taking care of vehicles throughout their lifecycle with customers - the In Life Support.

After completing a classic office apprenticeship at Mercedes-Benz, Marlon’s career path was initially a bit “all over the place”: from service assistance at his training company to the rental department at a Mercedes-Benz Bremen and then to used car sales at a regional dealership, he was searching for a role that would excite, challenge, and help him grow.

Following a gap year dedicated to personal development and self-discovery, he discovered FINN. The company’s youthful energy immediately grabbed him, and he saw – and still sees – a huge future here. Combined with his automotive experience, joining the In Life Support Team was the perfect fit. Marlon is excited to see how FINN will continue to grow and looks forward to the coming years and his career journey with the company.

Marlon from FINN

How would you explain your job to someone with zero context?

Honestly, I have to explain my job quite often – especially to my grandparents. “Associate Fleet Coordinator” didn’t really mean anything to them, and when I told them I work remotely from northern Germany for a company based in Munich, they were completely lost. A good way to put it? We make sure the cars keep rolling. I like to think of our team as a kind of “remote workshop”: we’re the central hub for coordinating everything from maintenance and technical issues to breakdown handling, fines, and functional questions. We act as the main point of contact for customers, partner workshops, damage partners, and authorities, both by phone and email. On top of that, I help with our “Feedback Force” initiative. It’s a part of the job I really enjoy because it allows us to continuously improve the customer experience. We look at what’s working, what could be better, and implement changes that make a real difference – so in a way, our work is behind-the-scenes but essential to keeping everything running smoothly.

What advice would you give to someone starting in this position?

Stay curious and open to new things. Even though FINN is nearly seven years old, the start-up mentality is still very strong – processes, programs, and new colleagues appear at lightning speed. It can feel overwhelming at first, especially if you’re used to more traditional structures. But here’s the thing: once the FINN spirit catches you, it’s energizing. You’ll have the chance to take ownership, make decisions, and grow in ways you might not expect. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, share ideas, and jump into new challenges. The environment encourages learning on the fly, and every day brings something different – that’s what makes it so exciting.

What do you love most about your work at FINN?

Where do I even start? Coming from a small town in northern Germany, FINN – a modern start-up from Munich – was a whole new world for me. And a good one! Of Course, flexible working hours, a well-equipped IT setup and the remote work are really nice things, but what I love the most is how much I get to grow here. FINN constantly challenges me to step outside my comfort zone and think bigger. Leadership is approachable and genuinely open to ideas, which makes it easy to contribute and feel heard. Even in a remote setup, our team stays well-connected – we’re constantly collaborating, supporting each other, and celebrating wins together.
